First Grade had great fun today celebrating Halloween. We did a fantastic job singing in the assembly and went trick or treating in the afternoon.
Happy Halloween everyone!
This week we looked at 'Where the Wild Things Are' by Maurice Sendak. We imagined what the characters were saying in each picture and wrote it down on speech bubbles. We painted our own wild things and shared what we like to do when we feel wild.
I hope you're having a wild time at home!

We started our new Science unit on grouping and changing materials this week. We have been naming and searching for different materials around the class and school and are doing a great job at recognizing the different materials that things are made of.

We have been talking a lot about babies this week in First Grade as part as our Science unit 'Health and Growth'. We even had a baby visit our class (Sofia) and Ms. Jessica explained how she looks after her and the things she needs to grow up happy and healthy. Today, the first graders did amazing baby pictures by looking very carefully at photos from when they were babies. And we even took a visit to Nursery to see how the children there play and learn.
We are now baby experts.
